The event, “Victorian Splendor: The Homes, Churches and Monuments of Norwalk’s Gilded Age,” will feature a bus tour of some of the city’s most noted sites.
The excursion, which will include four stops, will start and end at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum, a home built in 1868 that is now a National Historic Landmark.
Other attractions will include a Queen Anne home in Golden Hill that was built in 1889, and a Second Empire house in Cranbury built in 1870.
A visit to Union Cemetery and a tour of St. Mary’s Church will also be included.
Along with the bus trip and stopovers, a group of re-enactors will be on hand to enhance the tourists' experience of the late 19th century.
Refreshments will be served at the museum after the proceedings.
